The wall is a rendered block wall. It was painted with trompe l'oeil brickwork with a door.
It was painted with Weathercoat masonry paint: Red Brick, Black, Mid Stone, and Bitter Chocolate.
The brickwork is English Garden Wall Bond.
The total wall area is 21m2.
In 2018, the wall developed a vertical crack which went down the door. As this rather weakened the illusion of a door, a strand of ivy was painted down the crack.
