Why do we use cookies?

We use cookies to remember the state of web pages between clicks. For example: we use cookies to remember the state of check boxes between page changes; we use them to remember the state of show/hide switches on some pages.

It is said that some marketing companies misuse cookies and the information they contain. But, we don't misuse them, and we don't believe we store information in them that could be misused, so you should be able to use cookies on the artgkirk site with confidence.

What about Google's ads?

We do have Google's ads on some pages (down the right-hand side). If you want to check on Google's privacy policies and see how to avoid their ads, go here.
