Bamburgh Castle was founded shortly after the Roman legions left Britain in 420AD. The present castle is based on a Norman castle from the eleventh century and much enhanced – notably by Lord Armstrong in the nineteenth century. It is in Northumberland.

Bigsweir Bridge is over the Wye, near St Briavels, south of Monmouth. It was built in 1827.

The bridge opened in 1853 and carried the Newport, Abergavenny and Hereford Railway's line into Hereford. It now carries the Great Western Way cycleway linking Hereford's south western suburb of Redhill with the city centre.
